The Carey Police Department is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect or for any related information to a Feb. 1 Shell gas station robbery. The suspect is believed to be a young white male, approximately 5 feet, 6-8 inches tall and weighing between 140 and 150 pounds, according to a press release from the CPD. The suspect’s vehicle is believed to be a dark-colored Chevy, possibly an Impala, the release said. The robbery occurred at 12:49 p.m. Feb. 1 when the suspect presented a note to a clerk. The note reportedly said, “This is a robbery, open the register and give me the money, any false moves and I will kill you.” The suspect fled next door to McDonald’s and entered the dark vehicle, driving south past the Shell station and out of the village on U.S. 23. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact the CPD at 419-396-7678.
