Head drum All Nations Drum and co-drum Southern Singers join together to fill the air with the beats of centuries past at Saturday’s Mingo Confederation of North America powwow gathering at Harrison Smith Park in Upper Sandusky. More than 75 people attended Saturday’s Grand Entry ceremony at noon.

Head female dancer (left) Darlene “Dancing Wolf” Draper, of Marion, and head male dancer Nick Cook lead a group in intertribal dancing Saturday during the powwow. The event was held in honor of the late Judy Shoemaker and Doug “Walking Man” Hodges.
