Donna Lora, of Findlay and formerly of Mount Blanchard, plays a hammered dulcimer during a women’s tea event Saturday at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Sandusky. Lora said dulcimers are a predecessor to harpsichords and pianos. She said hammered dulcimers are ancient stringed instruments that differ from mountain dulcimers, which are fretted. Lora played the instrument, as well as a piano, during the event, which included a variety of drinks, chicken salad croissants and other refreshments. Facility activity coordinator Holly Bohlen said it was the second year for the event that is put on to honor mothers who live at the facility and their female family members.
