Star to hold auditions for ‘Titanic’

Auditions for the Star Players’ summer musical “Titanic” will be at 6 p.m. May 20-21 at the Star Theater.
Seasoned director David Headings is looking for a large cast of teens and adults of any age for this epic, but romantic story of the sinking of the Titanic. The production will be staged July 27-29 and Aug. 3-5.
Those auditioning do not have to prepare a song ahead of time. They will learn a song at auditions and will read from the script.
Written by Maury Yeston and Peter Stone, this Tony award-winning musical first was produced on Broadway in 1997. Local theater patrons will remember songs like “I Must Get on That Ship” and “In Every Age” from the Star’s first successful production of Titanic in 2002.
