Members of the community are preparing for the Star Players’ 10th Anniversary production of “Titanic, the Musical,” which will be on stage July 27-29 and Aug. 3-5.
The set construction crew of Mike Sprang, Kip Barth, Dale Sprang, Jim Sprang, Kevin Barth, Jim Ruhlen, Andy Voorheis, Jonathan Miller and Tia Sines are busy re-creating parts of the famous ship. Kathy Fields has supplied the boarding passes each theatre-goer will receive. Stage manager Stacy Barth will team up with Sprang, Tom Griffin, Samantha Barth, Hannah Barth, Tia Rice and Sue Kitzler backstage.
Directors David Headings and Mary Jones are working with orchestra members Mallory Guined, Janet Engle, Connie Wall, Vickie Gottfried, Jaynee Bramel, Cheryl Coakley, Kara Reddick, Kennedy McKain, Betty Snyder, Ashlie Payton and Seth Sprang to bring the theatre alive during the majestic ship’s journey. Kelli Stephens, of Kenton, will be the choreographer.
Costume chair Stacy Barth, Gena Grafmiller, Marilyn Boes, Pat Riedel and Laura Bacon are dressing the cast with support from cast member Betsy Gerhart, who is the manager of the theatre department at Costume Holiday House in Fremont.
Veteran light and soundmen Gary McCreary and Robert DeLong again will be in charge of the technical aspects of the production.
Wayne Rowe, Ron Boose and Jan Stoneburner are collaborating on publicity for this summer musical.
The public may order tickets beginning Friday by calling 419-294-1411. Tickets for members are $8 and $10 for non-members. Darlene Kitzler, Jim Kitzler and Mary Jones will be manning the box office.
