MARION — The Marion Palace Theatre, 276 W. Center St., Marion, will stage the award-winning Broadway musical “Annie” for five performances.
Show dates are scheduled for 8 p.m. Saturday and July 20 and 21 and 2 p.m. Sunday and July 22.
A family favorite since it premiered on Broadway in 1977, “Annie” features a cast of more than 100 members, performing such familiar songs as “Tomorrow” and “It’s a Hard Knock Life.” Joined by her beloved dog Sandy, Daddy Warbucks and the menacing Miss Hannegan, the role of “Annie” will be played by 10-year-old Sydney Anderson, of Dublin. She was one of 96 girls who auditioned for roles in the show.
The show runs approximately two hours, 15 minutes with one intermission.
Tickets are $40 for patrons and includes pre-show and post-show parties, $22/$17 for adults and $12 for children 12 and younger. Tickets can be charged by phone at 740-383-2101 or online at www.marionpalace.org.
