Forest to host Tree Town Idol karaoke contest

FOREST — The Tree Town Festival from July 6-8 will host the Tree Town Idol karaoke contest at 9:30 p.m. July 6 at Gormley Park.
The first-place winner will receive $250, second $100 and third $50.
To enter the contest, call Rhonda Melroy at 419-273-4000 or send an email to melroy4@frontier.com. The contest is for those ages 18 and older. Performance spots are limited. Entries for the karaoke contest must be in by July 5 and participants must supply their own karaoke music. It is a judged contest.
Proceeds of the festival will be used to offset the cost to replace out-dated cardiac monitors/defibrillators, for which $60,000 is needed and the fund currently has $9,000.
