BUCYRUS — River Valley rallied to beat Wynford, 3-2, in a non-league baseball game Tuesday. Trailing 2-1 in the top of the seventh, the Vikings scored two runs to take the lead into the home half and closed out the game.

Falcons manage 12 hits but lose 13-4

BASCOM — Riverdale had 12 hits, but only scored four runs in a 13-4 Blanchard Valley Conference loss at Hopewell-Loudon on Tuesday. The Chieftains scored three runs in the first inning and two in the second to take control early.

Riverdale wins 4th straight

BASCOM — Jonathan Walter singled in the go-ahead run in the top of the eighth inning and then closed out the win in on the mound in the bottom of the inning in a 10-8 extra-inning victory for Riverdale against Hopewell-Loudon on Tuesday.

Lopez throws 3-hit shutout

NEW WASHINGTON — Rico Lopez threw a three-hit shutout with no walks and 10 strikeouts to lead Mohawk to a 10-0 win against Buckeye Central in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball game Tuesday. The Warriors (3-1, 2-1 N10) earned a 1-0 lead in the third inning, made it 3-0 in the fifth and then blew the game open with a six-run sixth inning.

Warriors win with 9-run 6th

NEW WASHINGTON — Mohawk smashed 15 hits and drew 11 walks to explode offensively in a 22-14 Northern 10 Athletic Conference softball victory against Buckeye Central on Tuesday. The Warriors (4-1, 2-1 N10) took a 5-0 lead, but fell behind 10-5 with the Bucks (0-4, 0-3 N10) scoring six runs in the second and four runs in the third inning.

Mohawk wins on 8th-inning passed ball

SYCAMORE — Cadin Emshoff scored the winning run on a passed ball in the bottom of the eighth inning in Mohawk’s 4-3 Northern 10 Athletic Conference baseball victory against Colonel Crawford on Monday. Emshoff was hit by a pitch with one out, stole second, moved to third on Wyatt Cook’s groundout and then scored with two outs and Tanner Osborn at the plate.

Upper wins 5-0

Upper Sandusky had little trouble defeating Madison, 5-0, in boys tennis Monday. Nate Hensel won 7-5, 6-1 against Chaise Lunsford in the No. 1 singles match, taking 12 of the final 13 games after trailing 5-1 in the first set.
