Upper girls get wins over BC

NEW WASHINGTON — Upper Sandusky’s eighth grade girls basketball team held off Buckeye Central, 35-29, on Thursday. Madison Byrum led the Rams with 15 points, while Ruth Baldwin scored 7 points.

USHS graduate earns All-MVC 1st-team honor

VALPARAISO, Ind. — Valparaiso University volleyball senior Taylor Graboski recently was named a first-team All-Missouri Valley Conference volleyball selection and to the MVC all-tournament team. Graboski led the Crusaders with 325 kills and a .260 hitting percentage and finished one block shy of the team lead with 106.

N10 moves up Saturday times

The Northern 10 Athletic Conference has announced starting time changes for boys and girls basketball league games played on Saturdays during the 2017-18 season. All girls Saturday games will start at noon, with junior varsity and then varsity, and boys Saturday games will start with JV at 5 p.m.

CTLC hosting Coaches vs. Cancer event

CAREY — The Carey Teen Leadership Corps will hold the third annual basketball Coaches vs. Cancer game when the Blue Devils boys host Upper Sandusky on Dec. 15. The junior varsity team will start at 6 p.m. with varsity to follow.

USMS hosting EOC tourney

Upper Sandusky Middle School will host the 20th annual East of Chicago wrestling tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday. Arcadia, Fostoria, Kenton, Mohawk, Riverdale, Shelby, Van Buren and Upper Sandusky will compete.
