Carey scores first 22 points in win over Mohawk

CAREY — Carey scored the game’s first 22 points and ran away with a 56-16 victory against Mohawk on Tuesday night in a Northern 10 Athletic Conference girls basketball game. The Blue Devils (5-1, 2-1 N10) led 15-0 after one quarter. The Warriors (2-2, 1-2 N10) finally got on the board with an Anna Stillberger bucket in the second quarter but trailed 33-5 at halftime and 49-15 after three quarters.

MORRAL — Upper Sandusky senior guard Abigail Fogle has always enjoyed playing at the Ridgedale High School gymnasium. Tuesday was no exception. Fogle buried seven 3-pointers and matched her career high by scoring 33 points as the Upper Sandusky girls basketball team pummeled Ridgedale 68-20. Fogle passed 1996 Upper Sandusky High School graduate Erin (Falk) Minter for third on the program’s all-time scoring list.

Wright tallies 28 points in Falcons’ win over Bulldogs

ADA — Holding a 40-28 lead over Ada after three quarters, Riverdale looked to put things away in the fourth for an easy win in Tuesday night’s girls basketball contest. But the Lady Bulldogs put up a fight, going on a 7-2 run to close the gap to seven points before the Falcons regained control for a 60-43 win.

Upper sweeps Mohawk hoops

SYCAMORE — Kaidance Iles scored 13 points to lead Upper Sandusky’s seventh grade girls basketball team to a 33-16 victory at Mohawk on Monday. Veloria Stowers added 10 points, while Alyse Swartz scored 4 points for the Rams. Kamree Frey and Lauren Schoenberger had 2 points each.

McCreary lifts Eagles past Devils

NORTH ROBINSON — By his standards, the 3-point shot was not falling for Cameron McCreary on Saturday night. So in the second half, he decided to try something different. McCreary was nearly unstoppable going to the basket in the second half, scoring 20 of his 30 points in the second half in Colonel Crawford’s 71-56 victory against Carey to open Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball play.

Crall scores 30 as Royals top Redmen

BUCYRUS — Josh Crall scored 30 points to lead Wynford to a 61-45 victory against Bucyrus on Saturday night in a rivalry Northern 10 Athletic Conference boys basketball game. After an even first quarter, Wynford (2-0, 1-0 N10) led 29-22 at halftime and 43-32 after three quarters, but Bucyrus (0-3, 0-1 N10) cut its deficit to 49-45 and missed two free throws that could have made it a two-point game with just over 3 minutes left.
