The Upper Sandusky fourth and fifth grade football team recently defeated Wynford, 30-0. Offensively for Upper Sandusky: Levi Yeater, 7 carries for 173 yards, 3 TDs; Wyatt Kennedy, 1 reception for 1 yard; Curtis Paymon, 2 carries for 53 yards, 1 TD; Kasen Gottfried, 12 yards rushing, 2 receptions for 20 yards; Ethen Lewis, 4 completions for 83 yards; Josh Heilman, 2 receptions for 62 yards, 1 TD.

Wynford selling tickets tonight

BUCYRUS — The Wynford athletic department will be selling presale tickets for Friday’s football game against Carey during the volleyball game from 6-7:30 p.m. today. Tickets are $6 for adults and $5 for students.

Riverdale seeks hoops coaches

Wynford alumni having reunion

BUCYRUS — Wynford High School will host its fifth annual alumni reunion Oct. 19 for the Royals’ homecoming game against Mohawk. All former football players who graduated from Wynford are invited.

Tiffin Zombie 5K set for Oct. 20

TIFFIN — The Tiffin Zombie Run 5K run and walk fundraiser is Oct. 20 at Rock Creek Trail near Heidelberg University, 310 E. Market St., Tiffin. Registration begins at 9 a.m., and the race starts at 10 a.m.

Thiel’s 3 goals lead Rams

Jaidyn Thiel scored three goals to lead Upper Sandusky to a 5-2 boys soccer victory against Tiffin Columbian on Tuesday. Thiel opened scoring only 1:35 into the match. After Xavier Coppus tied the match at 1 with a penalty kick goal, Ross Swinehart scored following a throw-in from Caleb Healea, making it 2-1 with 28:47 left in the first half.

Warriors clinch share of N10 title

All eyes on her

Since 2012, the Mohawk volleyball team had not won a league title. But moments after Kaylee Ward’s kill gave the Warriors a nine-point third set victory, the Warriors clinched at least a share of the of the Northern 10 Athletic Conference title with a 25-12, 25-15, 25-16 victory over Upper Sandusky on Tuesday at Upper Sandusky High School.

Upper shuts out Ada, 2-0

ADA — Upper Sandusky closed out its regular season with a 2-0 victory against Ada in girls North Central Ohio Soccer Association play Tuesday. Alivia Oney set up Taylor Norris with a pass to the top of the penalty area with 26:38 left in the first half.
