Safety blotter: June 18, 2019

The department received an emergency call from the elevator at Union school the morning of June 17. The button had been hit by mistake and there were no problems. An officer assisted an Upper Sandusky man with a vehicle lockout on the 1700 block of East Wyandot Avenue the morning of June 17.

Safety blotter: June 17, 2019

An officer assisted the Ohio State Highway Patrol with a drone to help locate persons who fled on foot on CH 84 at Ohio 53 the early morning of June 14. An officer checked a vehicle on the 300 block of South Fifth Street the afternoon of June 14 for a threat of vandalism. No damage was observed on the vehicle.

A caller reported a suspicious male wearing a mask at Love’s Travel Mart walking towards parked trucks the early morning of June 11. The responding officer was unable to locate the individual. A caller reported a possible drunk driver at Love’s the morning of June 11. The responding officer was unable to locate the driver.

Safety blotter: June 7, 2019

An officer was dispatched to remove a bat from a residence on the 200 block of South Seventh Street the early morning of June 6. The officer was unable to locate the animal. An officer made contact with a residence on the 100 block of South Fifth Street, requesting they move a van so a tree trimming service could cut down a tree near their home the morning of June 6.

Officers were dispatched to reports of a black fox on the loose on the 600 block of Pleasant View Street the morning of June 5. The fox’s owner said it got off its chain while playing with her dogs. Kayce J. Snow, Upper Sandusky, was cited for animal running loose.

Safety blotter: June 5, 2019

Officers assisted the Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office with a combative subject on the 300 block of Second Street the early morning of June 4. A railroad worker reported two vehicles parked too close to the railroad tracks on the 100 block of East Hicks Street the afternoon of June 4. Yellow cards were placed on the vehicles advising them to move.

Safety blotter: June 3, 2019

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on the 1800 block of East Wyandot Avenue the early morning of May 31. The responding officer was unable to locate the vehicle. An Upper Sandusky woman requested a stand by on the 200 block of Richardson Drive the morning of May 31. An officer stood by until the woman had everything she needed and left the area.
