Safety blotter: September 20, 2019

Lorena Gutierrez-Morales, Upper Sandusky, was cited for no driver’s license and failure to control following a one-vehicle crash on the 200 block of South Sandusky Avenue the morning of Sept. 18. An officer assisted a Lima woman with a vehicle unlock on the 1600 block of East Wyandot Avenue the morning of Sept. 18.

‘Angel Has Fallen’ a grand finale

I recently enjoyed seeing “Angel Has Fallen,” the third in the series, after “Olympus Has Fallen” and “London Has Fallen,” of action movies starring Gerard Butler as Secret Service Agent Mike Banning. Morgan Freeman, returns from the first two movies as speaker of the house and then vice president. Allan Trumbull, now the president in this movie, replaces Aaron Eckhart.

Model A’s on display

The Pitt Ohio Model A Ford Club visited Upper Sandusky this past weekend, parking a fleet of customized Model A’s in the Shawshank Woodshop parking lot on Saturday and Sunday.

Health board reflects on fair week collaboration

At the Wyandot County Board of Health September Meeting, Wyandot County Solid Waste District Coordinator Kyle McColly shared his take on the fair collaboration with the health department. A daily question focused on teaching the public about recycling was asked at the health department’s booth and people who wanted to participate had to speak with representatives at the solid waste district booth to get the answers. Correct answers were entered to win a prize each day.

Safety blotter: September 19, 2019

An Upper Sandusky man reported suspicious activity on his debit card the afternoon of Sept. 16. Videos from the time the card was used in Tiffin were sent to the police department and the man said he was willing to file charges. An Upper Sandusky man reported his son’s bike as stolen from the 100 block of West Johnson Street the afternoon of Sept. 16. It was an orange Mongoose Alert Mag Wheel mountain bike with 24 inch wheels and seven speeds. The bike was not registered with the department. A sample photo of the bike was added to the incident folder.
