Health insurance costs are not rising for county employees for at least two years. The Wyandot County commissioners held a health insurance committee meeting Thursday with Scott Dickey and Chuck Ritzler of United Insurance.

The Riverdale Falcons will celebrate the end of their homecoming activities with a game against Arcadia tonight. The homecoming king and queen will be announced prior to the contest.

FOREST — Being a part of the Hardin County Crime Task Force has improved the cooperation between the Forest Police Department and the sheriff’s office, Sheriff Keith Everhart told the village council Thursday evening.

A caller reported a reckless driver in the Circle K parking lot the early morning of Sept. 10. The responding officer could not locate any vehicle matching the description provided.

The Wyandot County Department of Job and Family Services held its annual employee appreciation breakfast Monday at the agency. The breakfast is an opportunity for the department to honor new employees as well as employees experiencing five-year milestones with their service to the community.

The Northwest Ohio Contesters’ annual cancer benefit horse show at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds is hitting close to home. Organizer Tiffany Derr’s mother, Judy Kirby, a big supporter of the NWOC, was diagnosed with breast cancer late last year.

ADA — Twenty-five junior and senior Upper Sandusky High School marketing education students recently competed in the DECA District 3 Fall Leadership Conference at Ohio Northern University. Fourteen of them won medals as top five finishers in their respective marketing events.
