Sheriff Michael R. Hetzel has released his activity report for the month of January:

MOUNT BLANCHARD — The hallways outside the Riverdale gymnasium were filled with items up for sale during a pair of recent basketball games last weekend. Restaurant meals, hand tools and wooden shelves all were set out on tables for the highest bidder to consider in a silent auction.

Trash was turned to treasure for a good cause on Thursday at the Senior Connection in Upper Sandusky. Fran Cartwright, a Bucyrus native, taught the senior crafters group how to turn used plastic grocery bags into crocheted sleeping mats or other items like purses.

The Wyandot County Board of Developmental Disabilities met in its regular session on Thursday evening at Angeline Industries. Angeline Superintendent Todd Dilley reported that Angeline is applying for a grant for two vehicles, and hoping to be approved for one.

BUCYRUS — The Crawford Theatre Company will present the comedy, “The Queen of Bingo,” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Wynford Elementary School, 3300 Holmes Center Road. Where can two sisters on the other side of 50, who want to add a little zest, fun and excitement to their lives, find it?

The Wyandot County Regional Planning Commission meeting scheduled for today in the Wyandot County Courthouse Assembly Meeting Room has been cancelled. At this time, there are no pre-application guidance or variance issues to present to the Regional Planning Commission Board.
