Yoga at the library

Fourteen area residents turned out for a free yoga class at the Forest-Jackson Public Library on Thursday evening. Shannon Barnes (left), of Bending Tree Yoga, Forest, led the beginner’s yoga class, which included her daughter, Eden. Barnes, who is certified to teach core strength vinyasa, said she plans to offer yoga at Gormley Park in the near future.

The bid on the construction phase of the Wyandot County Courthouse restoration project has been awarded to a contractor that knows its way around Wyandot County’s 114-year-old centerpiece. Defendants charged in multiple unrelated cases were arraigned in Wyandot County Common Pleas Court on Thursday, with a full docket of charges that included theft in office, possession of heroin and LSD and assault to a police officer.
