Ohio 87th District state Rep. Riordan McClain (R-Upper Sandusky) held regional office hours Thursday at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. McClain spoke with organization leaders, concerned residents and program volunteers about a wide variety of topics important to the community.

NEVADA — A garage and some vehicles were destroyed in a structure fire late Wednesday night in rural Nevada. The Wyandot County Sheriff’s Office reports 911 was called at 10:56 p.m. Wednesday night concerning a garage on fire on the 10000 block of TH 134 in rural Nevada.

TIFFIN — Kathy Miller, of trideaDANCE, the resident modern dance company of The Ritz Theatre, will hold auditions for dancers and movers ages 9 and older to develop a new intergenerational piece. The audition is 1-4 p.m. Feb. 24 at The Ritz Theatre, 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin.

MARION — Under the direction of Emily Yaksic, “The Tale of Snow White” will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and 2 p.m. Sunday on the Marion Palace stage. Starring over 65 local children ages 7-14, this adaptation of gives a modern view to an old classic.

One week after hosting Hannah’s House Family Feud, the Upper Sandusky Elk’s Lodge is hosting An Evening with Pat Godwin in support of the Wyandot County Midget Football League. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the event is expected to begin by 8 p.m.

An Upper Sandusky teenager was injured in a one-vehicle accident this morning in rural Upper Sandusky. Wyandot County Sheriff’s Lt. Neil Reidlinger said a passer-by called 911 at 5:26 a.m. after discovering the scene of an accident near the corner of Ohio 199 and CH 44 north of Upper Sandusky.

A pair of Tiffin women have recently expanded their nutrition business to Upper Sandusky. Business partners Dawn Tyree and Michelle Walland opened Future U Nutrition in December, expanding from the Best Break nutrition club in Tiffin. “I started the business in Tiffin three years ago,” Tyree said.

Vickie Underwood, of rural Carey, retired last week as the senior director of human resources at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. Underwood has worked at the hospital since 1984 when she was hired by then-administrator John Harbaugh as the executive assistant.
