Ratliff returning to Marion for final solo performance

MARION — Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Ryan J. Ratliff performs as The Piano Man on Feb. 13 at the Marion Palace Theatre. La Rue native and Broadway veteran Ratliff returns to the Palace as often as possible to entertain his hometown fans, appearing in productions such as “Forever Plaid,” “Hairspray,” “Christmas at the Palace,” “Boardwalk Boys” and most recently starring in the February 2014 production of “Decades.”

Illusionist doing show at Ohio Northern

ADA — Ohio Northern University’s Freed Center for the Performing Arts will present “The Jason Bishop Show” at 4 p.m. Saturday. Bishop is an international award-winning illusionist who was the youngest person to win the Magician’s Alliance of Eastern States Stage Award and one of the youngest people to compete in the Society of American Magicians World-Class competition.

Findlay to host comedy shows Friday

FINDLAY — The Arts Partnership is welcoming accomplished comedians Drew Hastings and Jeff Bodart to Alexandria’s on Friday for 6:30 and 9 p.m. shows. Headlining comedian Hastings is a regular favorite on the nationally syndicated Bob & Tom Radio Show, which has given him a huge Midwest following.

Comedy duel

Musicians with Midwest Dueling Pianos perform a music and comedy show Thursday night to celebrate the start of 2016. More than 220 people packed into the Sycamore Community Center to support the Alzheimer’s Association and Sycamore Fire and Rescue Inc., the nonprofit governing board that owns the community center and raises funds for fire and emergency medical services in Sycamore and the surrounding area.
