Carey Fest activities to be held Aug. 4-6

CAREY — Carey Fest is Aug. 5-6 in downtown Carey with homecoming Aug. 4 at Waterworks Park. The homecoming schedule includes the Carey Area Chamber of Commerce business showcase, Carey FFA farm petting zoo and children’s games at 5 p.m., Black Swamp Raptor birds of prey exhibit at 5:30 p.m. and classic rock band Expando Band from 5:30-9 p.m.

Forest fireworks set for Saturday

FOREST — The Tree Town Festival Committee, the Forest Fire Department and Jackson-Forest EMS encourage attendees to follow rules for the fireworks to be held at the festival at 10:30 p.m. Saturday Gormley Park, Forest. The entrance to the festival parking areas and fireworks viewing and is from Spiedel Avenue and the end of East Daisy Street.
