TIFFIN — TrideaDANCE, the resident dance company of The Ritz Theatre, will return for its 13th annual spring performance with an all new program, featuring an assortment of must-see performers from throughout Ohio at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at 30 S. Washington St., Tiffin.

Professor Harold Hill, portrayed by junior Cameron Zorn convinces the people of River City, Iowa, that the children of the town need something to do to keep them out of trouble with the song “Ya Got Trouble” in the Mohawk High School production of “The Music Man.”

From the era that brought the world the Rubik’s cube, Max Headroom and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles comes the “totally awesome” musical “Back to the ‘80s”. In the style of movies such as “Back to the Future,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “The Karate Kid,” “Back to the ’80s” is a nostalgic romp through the greatest hits of the decade.

The Star Players Inc. has announced open auditions for their spring 2019 production, “9 to 5 The Musical” are 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for the show to be directed by Vicki McClurkin. Call-backs are slated for 7 p.m. Thursday at The Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky, Ohio. Adult roles are available for both men and women of all ages, teen and up.

The Star Players Inc. has announced a special one-night only performance, Black Tie Broadway, at 7:30 p.m. March 29 at the Star Theatre, 121 W. Wyandot Ave., Upper Sandusky. The community is invited to join some favorite local performers, past and present, for an evening celebrating Broadway through song.

SYCAMORE — Mohawk High School will present “The Music Man” at 7 p.m. March 29 and 30 and 2 p.m. March 31 at the Mohawk Performing Arts Center. The year is 1912. Traveling salesman and con man Harold Hill steps off the train into the town of River City, Iowa, well known for its stubbornness.

Join the class of 1985 as they experience the fun and heartbreak of growing up in a totally awesome decade when Upper Sandusky High School musical tells that story in “Back to the 80s.” Show times are 7:30 p.m. March 20-23 and 2:30 p.m. March 24.

Contestants participate in the competition at “The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee,” a musical production being performed this weekend at Riverdale High School. Cast members include Carson Hagerty, Josh Leopold, Faith Williams, Brandi Borkosky, Mackenzi Thompson, Ethan Rader, Brandi Lynn McCormick, Sam Thacker and Megan Hays.

MARION — Under the direction of Mark Holbrook the Emmy-award winning classic drama “Twelve Angry Jurors” will come to life April 4-6 in the May Pavilion at the Marion Palace Theatre. Cast as jurors in the production are Candy Boyd, Mike Cochran, Doug Ford, Erica Hunt, Dean Jacob, Leah Menzie, Kaden Schenk, Will Smith, Bob Sullivan-Neer, Brody Thomas, Cameron Williams and Janet Wittenmyer.
