Habitat for Humanity to expand into county

MARION — Buckeye Ridge Habitat for Humanity, a nonprofit organization based in Marion, has plans to expand into Wyandot and Morrow counties and will host an informational breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. Tuesday at Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church.

Weston Jeremiah Gibson

Allisa Gibson, of Carey, is the mother of a boy, Weston Jeremiah Gibson. He was born at 6:31 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital. He weighed 8 pounds, 9 ounces and was 20.5 inches long. The maternal grandparents are Kerry Hetzel, Attica, and Jeremy Gibson and Danielle Fletcher, Carey.

Brayven Bentley-Dean Cook

Kayla Treadway, of Upper Sandusky, and Trevor Cook, of Carey, are the parents of a boy, Brayven Bentley-Dean Cook. He was born at 9:24 p.m. Monday, March 14, 2016 at Wyandot Memorial Hospital.

Harvey School to host auction

BUCYRUS — An auction of farm-related goods and vintage items is being planned for Sept. 10 to benefit Harvey One-Room School. The auction will be at the Harvey Homestead Barn, located at 1020 Caldwell Road, Bucyrus.

Pork dinner set at church

McCUTCHENVILLE — Trinity United Church of Christ will host a pork tenderloin dinner from 5-7 p.m. April 2 in McCutchenville. The menu includes pork tenderloin, mashed potatoes and gravy, sauerkraut, green beans, applesauce, rolls, butter and drinks.

2nd country hoe-down to be April 23

The second annual country hoe-down will take place from 4-8 p.m. April 23 at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. The event, which will feature square-dancing with professional dance caller John Wargowski, will be held rain or shine. Games, food and “pretty hat” and “pretty legs” contests also are planned.

Hospice to benefit from spaghetti fundraiser

Amvets Post No. 777 Auxiliary will host its annual spaghetti dinner and feather party to benefit Hospice of Wyandot County on Saturday at Amvets Post 777, 108 E. Walker St. Dinner will be served from 5-6:30 p.m. and costs $8 for adults and $4 for children.
