Upper library to host human trafficking program June 7

Sisters in Shelter will present a program about human trafficking and modern-day slavery at 6:30 p.m. June 7 at Upper Sandusky Community Library. The nonprofit, Tiffin-based organization provides emergency and transitional housing, trauma and psychological care, and lifeskills training for women who have been victims of human trafficking. Services are provided for minors rescued from human trafficking, who have aged out of the foster system and are left without care and support.

Tree Town Festival parade July 7 in Forest

FOREST — The 2017 Tree Town Festival Parade is at 6:30 p.m. July 7. Line-up begins at 5:30 p.m. at the soccer fields on West Dixon Street. Awards will be given for best commercial float, best youth float, best organizational float, best classic car, best antique car, best antique tractor, best-mounted horse and best hitch. A best of show parade award also will be given. Parade judging begins at 6 p.m.
