WHARTON — The annual Wharton Halloween judging was held last week with more than 60 participants at the township building and firehouse prior to trick-or-treating.
Kappa Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society International, a women’s educational society, met at Carey’s Basilica of Our Lady of Consolation on Oct. 21 for a guided tour. Friar Ian of the Conventual Franciscan Friars guided the group through the basement and sanctuary of the Basilica.

Miya Kinn and Makenna Zaebst were nominated by Krista Richmond for modeling habit No. 4, “Getting Stuff Done.” They helped the teacher by passing back graded papers to peers.
WHARTON — The Wharton High School class of 1958 met for its annual get-together Nov. 4 at the home of Janet Pickett for an evening of food, fun and fellowship.
The Upper Sandusky junior high wrestling team and Dorcas Carey Public Library staff unloaded semi-trailers last Saturday as the first step in a month-long transformation of Harrison Smith Park into the 21st Upper’s Winter Fantasy of Lights.
Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church will host a special series of revival services at 108 Malabar Drive, Upper Sandusky, with Encounter Revival Ministries at 8:30, 10 and 11:15 a.m. Sunday and 7 p.m. Nov. 13-17.
Based in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, the Encounter Revival Ministries team is comprised of 19 college-age people who travel extensively for weeklong meetings in churches and schools.

Four projects in Wyandot County received approval for grant funding Friday at the District 16 - Round of 32 for the Ohio Public Works Commission.
The first project funded was a joint township/county paving in Wyandot County.
Three vehicles were broken into Monday evening at the Wyandot Memorial Hospital parking lot.
In all three incidents, police reports state a purse was visible inside the vehicle either on a seat or the floor with the doors locked.
The Upper Sandusky Parks Department requested approval for a new workshop addition in a special parks committee meeting Monday.
