Upper Sandusky Community Library has two book clubs for community members who like to gather and discuss their love of books. The Common Readers book discussion group meets at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the library.

Whole Life Fitness, 228 S. Eighth St., Upper Sandusky, is offering a special healthy lifestyle program to the surrounding community. The Daniel Plan is a program founded on Biblical principles that focuses on five “essentials” — faith, food, fitness, focus and friends.

Local high school students have the opportunity to compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships and a trip to Washington D.C.

CAREY — The Dorcas Carey Public Library is Upper’s Winter Fantasy of Lights 2017 charitable recipient. The library board learned of the designation in May following Fantasy’s board review and vote.
