Modern Woodmen of America Chapter 16315 matched the profits Hannah’s House made on the Superhero 5K held Aug. 5 with a donation of $1,216.96. Pictured are chapter director Rebecca Shank and Hannah’s House Director Misty Droll.

Standout athletes

Student athletes of the month from Upper Sandusky Middle School for September are Kenzie Cunningham and Aiden Gallant. Cunningham is a seventh-grader at USMS and currently plays volleyball.

Meetings: September 20, 2017

A large variety of cream and sugar sets were brought in by Tiffin Glass Collectors Club members for the September club meeting show and tell. Ed Goshe discussed them by separating them out by eras in which they were made.

Our Lady of Consolation to have special service Sun

CAREY — The Franciscan friars and staff at Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation will celebrate the sacred gift of family life with prayer and fun Sept. 24. The public is invited to a noon liturgy, followed by a picnic lunch and games for people of all ages hosted by the friars and staff on the back lawn of the office building beside the Basilica.
