Open Door having Colorblast Fun run

Open Door Resource Center is holding its annual Colorblast Fun Walk/Run on June 30 at Harrison Smith Park in Upper Sandusky. This year the event will include games for all ages, food and music performed by Trinity Evangelical United Methodist Church.

Library having adult craft sessions

Join the Upper Sandusky Community Library in June for a series of easy, fun and free crafts sessions for adults at the Upper Sandusky Community Library. Aimee Boes will lead the sessions at 1 p.m. Thursdays. The crafts include creating items such as a mesh wreath, a T-shirt tote bag, a teacup fairy garden and monogram wall art.

Foundation accepting applications

The Wyandot County Community Foundation is accepting applications for its 2018 grant program and will be awarding grants to Wyandot County 501(c)(3) organizations, schools or governmental units to support their programs. Grant applications for specific projects that meet the educational, cultural, health, social services or recreational needs of Wyandot County residents will be considered.

Patrol emphasizes yielding importance

DEFIANCE — Motorists who don’t yield for vehicles with the right of way cause far too many crashes each year, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol. Crashes caused by this violation, known as failure to yield, were a primary cause in nearly one in five crashes in Ohio.
