CAREY — Carey Elementary School has announced its honor roll for the second quarter of the 2018-19 school year. Students are listed by grade level.

The Upper Sandusky High School students of the month for January are freshman Arlene Lopez, sophomore Marcellus Callahan, junior Amy Frey and (missing from photo) senior Desirae Ingram. The program is sponsored by the Upper Sandusky Lions Club, which donated a monetary gift and certificate for each recipient.

CAREY — The Basilica and National Shrine of Our Lady of Consolation has announced recent changes. Because there are very few people who are attending the 1:30 p.m. Sunday Shrine devotions in the winter months, these devotions will no longer take place November through April.

Macy Elizabeth Britton and Daniel Lee Leader recently announced their engagement. Britton, of North Baltimore, is a daughter of Scott and Jennifer Britton, of Upper Sandusky.

BUCYRUS — The Crawford Park District has announced upcoming events. A nature hike is 3 p.m. Saturday at Heckert Nature Preserve, 1601 Ohio 19, west of Ohio 602. Meet Crawford Park District naturalist Warren Uxley at Heckert Nature Preserve to see what this year’s season of transition will bring.

The Wyandot Memorial Hospital Foundation will award five $1,000 scholarships this spring to Wyandot County residents planning careers in health care. Scholarship applications are available at the hospital’s information desk in the lobby and are due March 15.

BLUFFTON — Bluffton Hospital, a division of Blanchard Valley Health System, has been recognized by The Chartis Center of Rural Health as a Top 100 Critical Access Hospital. This award is one of the industry’s most significant designations of performance excellence.

FINDLAY — Blanchard Valley Health System is offering educational scholarships to individuals pursuing health care careers. BVHS associates and current college students may be eligible to apply.

CAREY — Carey Link, 112 E. Findlay St., Carey, has announced events for March. A free repair clinic is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. March 9.
