The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a large fluffy neutered male black cat, a male gray tiger cat, a gray calico female cat that is microchipped, a young female brown and white boxer, a white and gray male cat, a tan female lab mix puppy, a shetland sheepdog and a tri-color neutered male coonhound.

Modern Woodmen of America Chapter No. 16315 donated $600 worth of outdoor toys to Hannah’s House.

TOLEDO — The American Red Cross has a critical shortage of type O blood and urges eligible donors to give now to help patients facing trauma and other life-threatening situations.

CAREY — Celebrate school spirit with the Dorcas Carey Public Library with the upcoming Pride of Carey Blue Devil Marching Band performance at 6:30 p.m. June 10 on the library lawn. Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy light refreshments while listening to the best of Carey’s young musicians.

Visit the Dorcas Carey Public Library at 10 a.m. Tuesday for a presentation by the Turtle Lady. This program will include at least 20 turtles, four bearded dragons, a corn snake and two toads.

KENTON — Help lead the fight for a world without cancer at the American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Hardin County on July 19, 2019. The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Hardin County is 6 p.m. July 19 at the Courthouse square in Kenton.

Sarah Scott was selected to represent Wyandot County at the Ohio 4-H State Leadership Camp at 4-H Camp Ohio, June 1-5. Nationwide and Farm Credit Mid-America sponsors the program and provides substantial camp scholarships to 4-H members nominated from each of Ohio’s 88 counties.

FINDLAY — The first of two 2019 flights of Flag City Honor Flight, the Findlay based hub of the National Honor Flight Network, will occur Tuesday. Seventy-eight veterans plus their guardians will journey to Washington D.C. to visit the war memorials; including 20 World War II veterans.

The May 6 meeting of the Tri Sigma soroity Beta chapter was held at the home of Mary Riedlinger. Kara Schoen, the program coordinator of CASA, was the guest speaker. CASA stands for court appointed special advocate or children. This particular group covers Wyandot, Seneca and Sandusky counties.

The Upper Sandusky High School Alumni Association made a donation in March to the USHS music department. Jerry Taylor and Deanna Piecha, of the USHS Alumni Association, presented band director and teacher Jason Morris with a donation to the band.
