CRESTLINE — The Crawford County Parks District recently announced upcoming events. Feeding Day is 2 p.m. Sunday at Lowe-Volk Park, 2401 Ohio 598. The American Legion Auxiliary Post No. 225 meeting was recently called to order, Aug. 5, by President Sharon Huffman at Fairhaven for the annual potluck and appreciation to the Girl’s State representatives. Chaplain Rita Logsdon was unable to be there, so Huffman opened the meeting and potluck with the Lord’s Prayer.

The Alzheimer’s Association Northwest Ohio Chapter will hold an educational program on the topic of effective communication strategies for families, friends and anyone impacted by the disease. MARION — A screening of the documentary “Second Chances: One Year in Ohio’s Drug Courts” is 6 p.m. today, at the Marion Palace Theatre and will feature opening remarks by Chief Justice Maureen O’Connor. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Follow local court participants of Marion Municipal Court’s drug treatment docket on their journey through recovery in this free documentary showing, which is open to the public.

FOREST — “Cut the Craft” is 7 p.m. Aug. 21 and 1 and 7 p.m. Aug. 22 at the Forest-Jackson Public Library. Adults and teens are welcomed to make metal photo transfers at the event.
