Crawford Parks hosting events this week

CRESTVIEW — Canoeing is 6 p.m. today at Neff Reservoir, Ohio 98, Bucyrus. Join Josh and Lisa for an evening paddle around Neff Reservoir. After a lesson on some canoeing basics and safety, take to the water. Pre-registration is required by Sept. 16. For more information contact the Crawford Park District office at 419-683-9000.

Humane Society: September 17, 2019

The following report was prepared and submitted by the Wyandot County Humane Society on Monday and is correct as of that date. Pets reported as missing since the last report that have not been found include a tiger and white kitten, a female gray tiger cat, a white and brown neutered male shih tzu, a female beagle with a brown face, a male brown tiger cat, a gray calico cat, a yellow and white neutered male cat and a tri-color hound mix puppy.

Public invited to Harvest Festival

The Celebrate Fairhaven Volunteer Service Group’s 39th annual Harvest Fest is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 26, at 850 Marseilles Ave., Upper Sandusky. A live auction is 10:30-11:30 a.m., a bake sale is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., a celebrate Fairhaven video will be shown 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., lunch is available from 11:30-1 p.m. and a raffle closes at 12:30 p.m. Entertainment is from 1-1:30 p.m. Campus tours also will be available.

Tracers hosting speaker Neel tonight

The Wyandot Tracers Genealogy Society, O.G.S., will host speaker Tom Neel at its meeting tonight. The speaker is Tom Neel, director of the prestigious Ohio Genealogical Society Library in Bellville. He is speaking on the topic “Courthouse Records: An Overlooked Source?” The meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Upper Sandusky Community Library.
