The Wyandot County Community Foundation hosted its fourth annual grant awards program at Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Friday morning. Eight nonprofit organizations in Wyandot County were awarded grants in amounts ranging from $250 to $1,000 for projects the organizations intend to complete.

Wyandot Classics and Cars car and truck club donated $24,000 to Hospice of Wyandot County on Thursday at Fairhaven Community. All of the proceeds from the 2016 Autumn Cruise car show in downtown Upper Sandusky go toward patient care provided by hospice.

The Upper Sandusky Fire Department concluded last week’s Fire Prevention Week with an open house for area children to learn more about the equipment used by firefighters. Upon arrival, children were able to choose between a pink or red firefighter helmet and given stickers and a goodie bag.
