Infirmary Cemetery Memorial Committee preps for ceremony The Wyandot County Infirmary Cemetery Memorial Committee held its final meeting Wednesday at the Wyandot County Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in advance of the Oct. 20 dedication ceremony. Since the last meeting, the base of the memorial was poured, four benches have been placed around the memorial site thanks to help from the Wyandot County Commissioners and some landscaping has been performed by Mary and Dale Reinhart as well as Mike Wheeler. Ancient oak One of the oldest oak trees in Upper Sandusky, believed to be over 200 years old, was removed Tuesday by Oberlander’s Tree and Landscape Ltd. from Old Mission Cemetery. The tree was over 20 feet in diameter at the base and had to be removed one limb at a time via a crane for safety reasons. Read More
