Nevada council considers building new village hall

NEVADA — With the condition of its village hall deteriorating, Nevada Council is considering its options, including the possibility of a new building. Council received a quote of $18,100 for repair work on the outside of the block building, and it expects a new roof, which may be needed sooner rather than later, would cost over $20,000, meaning total work on the building would be around $40,000.

In the Mighty Ram Camp nutrition and fitness programs, students in kindergarten through eighth grade will not only participate in fun activities, but learn about the role nutrition and healthy diets play in maintaining proper health from people in the Wyandot Memorial Health SportsCare program.

An unusually wet spring and early summer has put Wyandot County farmers in a difficult situation choosing between planting their crops late, replanting them or not planting crops at all. The National Weather Service reported Wyandot County received precipitation in 46 of the 91 days from April to June, well above the yearly average.
