Denver impersonator to perform at Clyde HS

CLYDE — Roy Rivers will perform as John Denver at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the Clyde High School auditorium at 1015 Race St., Clyde. He will perform some of Denver’s greatest hits such as “Take Me Home, Country Roads,” “Rocky Mountain High,” “Sunshine on My Shoulders,” “Annie’s Song,” “Sweet Surrender” and “Thank God I’m a Country Boy.”

Backtrack to perform at Bucyrus Elementary

BUCYRUS — Backtrack will perform at 7 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Bucyrus Elementary School auditorium, 245 Woodlawn Ave., Bucyrus. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Formed in 2012, Backtrack is an award-winning five person a cappella group based in New York City that explores the power of the human voice through unique vocal arrangements, tight harmonies and world-class beatboxing.

Star having musical tryouts

They are creepy and a little bit kooky, the Addams family. Come be part of the Addam’s family at the Star Theatre. Tryouts for America’s favorite comedic macabre, “The Addams Family the Musical,” are 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday for girls high school age and up and boys 10 and up.

Kirby Festival set for this weekend

KIRBY — The annual Transfiguration of the Lord St. Mary’s/Kirby Festival will take place from 2 p.m. to midnight Saturday and 2-10 p.m. Sunday in Kirby. Saturday’s theme is “Adult Night Out.” The Kirby off-road 5K will begin at 9 a.m., taking runners into the country through trails in the woods of a parishioner and back, organizer Curt Frey said. Registration begins at 8 a.m. Registration forms are available on Facebook and anyone with questions is asked to call 419-957-5702.
