Tickets on sale now for Star Players’ ‘9 to 5: The Musical’

The Star Players is presenting its spring show, “9 to 5: The Musical” at 7:30 p.m. May 10, 11, 17 and 18 and 2 p.m. May 12. With music and lyrics by Dolly Parton and book by Patricia Resnick, the musical is based on the iconic 1980 hit movie. Set in the late 1970s, this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous and thought-provoking with a little romance thrown in.

CTC having ‘Damn Yankees’ auditions

BUCYRUS — The Crawford Theatre Company will hold open auditions for their production of “Damn Yankees” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at the Bucyrus Public Library, 200 E. Mansfield St. Those auditioning are asked to sing a prepared song of no more than 90 seconds in length, to perform a cold reading from the script and will learn some dance movements. Please dress accordingly.

In the style of movies such as “Back to the Future,” “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” and “The Karate Kid,” “Back to the ’80s” is a nostalgic romp through the greatest hits of the decade.
