Nephrologist Benahili Iboaya, D.O., joined the staff at Wyandot Memorial Hospital’s Specialty Healthcare Center and has office hours each Tuesday morning. Dr. Iboaya has extensive clinical training and work experience in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the kidney, including the management of systemic consequences of kidney dysfunction.

First National Bank of Sycamore announces Zimmer’s retirement

SYCAMORE — First National Bank of Sycamore has announced that after 44 years of service on the board of directors, Charles “Charlie” Zimmer will be retiring at the end of this year. Zimmer retired from the bank in 2008 as senior vice president of lending and has served as a director since 1973. He also will be retiring as a director of FNB Bancshares Inc.

The Steer Barn has been an Upper Sandusky landmark for over a century, and it has received some major renovations over the summer and early fall to get modernized. An open house is planned for Monday from noon to 7 p.m. with appetizers and drinks to showcase the new and improved facility. An auction will take place at 1 p.m.

District 3 marketing competition

ADA — Twenty-five junior and senior Upper Sandusky High School marketing education students recently competed in the DECA District 3 Fall Leadership Conference at Ohio Northern University. Fourteen of them won medals as top five finishers in their respective marketing events.
