MARION — OhioHealth is donating $100,000 to support the training of future health care workers at Marion Technical College in a new, state-of-the-art anatomy and physiology lab.

After 61 years of business in Marion, Verne Hart Insurance expanded for the first time with its Upper Sandusky location this past month. It celebrated the expansion with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a special open house this past Thursday, offering coffee and pastries in the morning and brisket and pulled pork from The Corner Inn for lunch to anyone that stopped by.

Open Door Resource Center recently hired Scott Moore as its new executive director. This decision was made shortly after the announcement by former director Kris Joseph that she was stepping down from day to day operations.

Wyandot County residents have another option for auto repairs with RF Auto LLC, located in Upper Sandusky. The company, which handles any mechanical or electrical problems with vehicles, was founded by Robert Fox this past October and has been operating mainly through positive word of mouth.

Area hair stylists learned some valuable tips last Monday at A Cut Above beauty salon in Upper Sandusky. The “cluster class” event was put on by the Scruples Hair Care company and everyone in attendance was a user of Scruples products.
