Riddlehaven to have open house

Riddlehaven Senior Apartments is holding an open house from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Improvements have been made to the apartment building and in order to increase community involvement, the community is invited to come take a tour of the building.

North Central Electric named a 5-star co-op

ATTICA — North Central Electric Cooperative announced recently it has been named a 5-Star Co-op by the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association. The five-star designation recognizes NCE’s high level of participation in Co-ops Vote, a national get-out-the-vote campaign. The non-partisan campaign seeks to engage voters and boost voter turnout in areas served by electric co-ops all across the country.

Community First VP of operations ending career

Sharon Haymond

FOREST — Community First Bank N.A. has announced that its vice president of operations/cashier Sharon Haymond will retire next week. Haymond has been with the bank since late 1973, when on a visit to the bank her mom was asked whether her daughter wanted a job. “She, of course, replied YES,” laughed Haymond, and so began a career that spanned many jobs and more than 45 years.
