Sandy Taylor of Upper Sandusky has registered patients at Wyandot Memorial Hospital for 32 years and is retiring at the end of July. She noted the registration process now is computerized, but was all handwritten when she started.

COLUMBUS — The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation has changed the way workers’ compensation benefits is billed for private employers in Ohio as the BWC transitions to prospective billing. Public employers will switch to prospective billing beginning Jan. 1.

The First Citizens National Bank, located at 132 E. Wyandot Ave., completed a year’s worth of renovations and hosted a ribbon-cutting and open house for the updated facility earlier this month.

Board meets new contact

The Wyandot County Board of Commissioners met with Catherine Born and Fred Lord of Clemans, Nelson and Associates, Dublin, on Thursday as the county transitions to a new contact person. Clemans, Nelson and Associates provides personnel consulting services for Wyandot County.

Clouse company named No. 2

NEW RIEGEL — Clouse Construction Corporation, a design a build general contractor located in New Riegel, has been ranked No. 2 in the state of Ohio and No. 31 in the U.S. for being a top pre-engineered metal builder in 2014, according to Metal Construction News Magazine.

Steak fry scheduled

The Upper Sandusky Chamber of Commerce will host its annual steak fry fundraiser at 5 p.m. Aug. 12 at the Wyandot County Fairgrounds. The event is open to all chamber members, their employees and guests.
