About 100 women attended the 10th annual Carey Area Chamber of Commerce luncheon at the Shrine Cafeteria in Carey on Wednesday. The luncheon featured a women’s professional panel and three speakers, while Jan Wenzinger received the month’s chamber spotlight.
CAREY — The Carey Area Chamber of Commerce held its 10th annual Chick Chat last Wednesday at the Our Lady of Consolation Shrine Cafeteria with about 100 women in attendence.
Trisha DeAmicis welcomed the group, while the Rev. Penny Drenton, of Grace and Memorial United Methodist churches, gave the prayer.
Jan Wenzinger was honored in the Chamber spotlight due to her work at the Rustic Razor.
Cassie Carlson, of Cellular Central, gave a presentation of smart phone tips, of which included the application “Gas Buddy.”

A five-person women’s professional pannel was formed to answer questions from chamber board member Amy Yeater. On the panel were Toni Ahlberg, Kathy Brown, Stephanie Dietz, Marlene Thiel and Susan Hotelling.
Following the panel, Hotelling gave health guidelines from her experience as a Certified National Midwife.
Tiphanie Bond spoke about Zumba Fitness before a raffle and giveaways were performed.
